An inside look at the German Porsche factory to see how the company cranks out some of the fastest cars on the road. Based in Stuttgart, Germany, Porsche has been mass-producing their iconic 911, model since 1964. Now available in a variety of configurations and styles, Porsche has optimized their assembly line to manufacture multiple different models, without compromising any of the meticulous details. Case in point, the images and video below from the National Geographic show,Ultimate Factories, documents the painstaking precision involved in painting and assembling a luxurious Porsche automobile. The Porsche episode airs Thursday, October 22 at 8 PM ET/PT on the National Geographic Channel. The Porsche’s body is transported by bridge over a busy Stuttgart highway.
